Client: CORA ( Collective for the Renewal of Africa)
Timeline: 2022
Role: UX Researcher, UI Designer, Graphic Designer, WordPress Developer
The Context

CORA is a Pan-African intellectual collective of over 100, social and natural scientists, historians, writers, medical doctors and artists from across Africa and the diaspora. When they first launched their website, they didn’t have proper resources. Their visual identity and website’s design were still on the early stages. Regardless, they had to launch in order to share the work done by the collective. In 2022 they had enough funds to hire a specialist and rethink their visual identity and their website, which had a lot of UX issues.
The Challenge
- Design a visual identity that would be used for website, online content, social media and other graphic needs
- Revamp an outdated website with unclear structure and weak branding, while aligning the design with a new strategic vision.
The Process
- Conducted a full UX audit and stakeholder interviews.
- Led focus groups to gather user insights and expectations.
- Developed and tested multiple design concepts based on findings.
- Refreshed brand visuals, including color scheme and typography.
- Implemented the new design using WordPress.
- Delivered a comprehensive admin training guide.
